Plain talk about what WealthChem is, what it isn't, and how the education is paid for. No fine print buried at the bottom — this is the whole page.

General educational disclaimer

This website is for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, tax, investment, or insurance advice. Content is general in nature and may not reflect your individual circumstances. Before making financial, legal, tax, or insurance decisions, consider consulting a qualified professional who understands your specific situation.

Professional status

Megha Sharma is a Licensed Life & Health Insurance Professional licensed in California.

Megha Sharma is not a financial advisor, financial planner, registered investment adviser, attorney, or certified public accountant (CPA), and does not hold securities licenses. Nothing on this site should be read as investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice. When a question belongs with one of those professionals, we'll say so and encourage you to consult one.

Affiliation and compensation

WealthChem, a brand of Trellova LLC, is an independent associate of Hegemon Group International (HGI), a marketing organization representing multiple licensed insurance carriers.

HGI is not an insurance company and has no products of its own. Any product a family chooses is issued by a well-known, licensed American insurance carrier and is subject to that carrier's underwriting and approval.

Education and consultations are free. If a family chooses an insurance product, the issuing carrier compensates the licensed professional — this is how the education stays free.

Insurance product disclosures

Guarantees are backed by the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance carrier. Policy loans and withdrawals reduce cash value and the death benefit and may have tax consequences. Benefits, exclusions, riders, and costs vary by policy and state.

Insurance products referenced on this site are offered through licensed carriers and are not available in all states; features vary by state and individual circumstances.

Indexed universal life (IUL) policies credit interest based on the movement of a market index, subject to caps, participation rates, spreads, and floors that the issuing carrier sets and can change. The policy's cash value is never invested directly in the market. Policy charges, cost of insurance, and rider fees reduce cash value over time, and values shown in an illustration are projections — not promises.

A life insurance policy funded beyond IRS limits can become a modified endowment contract (MEC), which changes how loans and withdrawals are taxed. If a policy lapses or is surrendered while a loan is outstanding, some or all of the loan may become taxable income.

Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and current federal and state law, and rules can change. Strategies described as tax-advantaged (including policy loans from cash-value life insurance) carry conditions and risks — consult a qualified tax professional before acting.

Wills and trusts

Trellova LLC (operating as WealthChem) and Megha Sharma are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or document preparation. Estate planning documents should be drafted and reviewed by a licensed attorney in your state. This page is education only — when a question belongs with an estate-planning attorney, we'll say so.

Business opportunity

Becoming an associate means building an independent, commission-based business in a licensed, regulated profession. Income is not guaranteed, varies widely, and depends on effort, skill, licensing, and market conditions. A state insurance license is required before discussing or offering any insurance product. All costs and requirements are explained up front, before any commitment.

Trademark and state availability
